About the Project

Building an evidence-based Regional Eye Health Strategy

The project will assess eye care needs and existing capacities across OECS Member States to inform the development of a comprehensive, evidence-based Regional Eye Health Strategy.

Guided by the World Health Organization’s Eye Care in Health Systems: Guide for Action, the strategy will identify regional priorities, support data-informed decision-making, and help target interventions where they are needed most to reduce preventable vision loss and strengthen health systems.

Through collaboration with governments, healthcare providers, and regional and international partners, the initiative aims to create a shared roadmap for improving eye health outcomes across the OECS and reflects a long-standing commitment to regional partnership and sustainable healthcare.
